What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Future Horizons collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. Future Horizons also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.
There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by Future Horizons. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by Future Horizons for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Future Horizons Web site.
Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Future Horizons public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. Note: Future Horizons does not read any of your private online communications.

- When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
- An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
Future Horizons does not allow our website visitors to upload any media to the website. Please be advised and cautious in your personal web communications. If you upload images to other WordPress websites, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Future Horizons utilizes a contact form system (WPForms) and all data collected from the contact forms are used for customer service requests and is not shared with any external parties or utilized in any target marketing efforts.
Cookies
- If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
- If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
- When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
- If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Analytics
Future Horizons does not share any customer data with third party entities. Future Horizons utilizes Google Analytics and Google AdWords to evaluate response levels to advertising for books and conferences. Future Horizons does not share customer data or email addresses with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked-In or any other social website.
Who we share your data with:
Future Horizons collects and uses your personal information to operate the Future Horizons Web site and deliver the services you have requested. Future Horizons also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Future Horizons and its affiliates. Future Horizons may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.
Future Horizons does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. Future Horizons may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, Future Horizons may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. Future Horizons keeps track of the Web sites and pages our customers visit within Future Horizons, in order to determine what Future Horizons services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within Future Horizons to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.
How long we retain your data
- If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
- For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
- If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Subscription forms
If you submit a subscription form on our site you will be opting in for us to save your name, email address and other relevant information.
These subscriptions are used to notify you about related content, discounts & other special offers.
You can opt our or unsubscribe at any time in the future by clicking link in the bottom of any email.
Cookies
We use anonymous cookies to prevent users from seeing the same popup repetitively in an attempt to make our users experience more pleasant while still delivering time sensitive messaging.
Analytics
Popup Maker anonymously tracks popup views and conversions.
How long we retain your data
- Subscriber information is retained in the local database indefinitely for analytic tracking purposes and for future export.
- Data will be exported or removed upon users request via the existing Exporter or Eraser.
- If syncing data to a 3rd party service (for example Mailchimp), data is retained there until unsubscribed or deleted.
Where we send your data
Popup Maker does not send any user data outside of Future Horizons site by default, except for subscription forms that will be sent to a 3rd party service such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact, in which this information on user info may be passed to these external services. These services may be located abroad.
